Every time we learn something new
our brain rewires
People get stuck in the habit circuits of their brain. We are hard-wired for survival and change threatens our fundamental way of being. Understanding how our brain works and how to create sustained change is the basis of all my workshops and 1:1 programmes.
Did you know that the brain does not understand the difference between fact and fiction?
We are merely following pre-set mind maps that we have created since early childhood. One of the most amazing facts about the brain is it also does not know the difference between past, present and future.
So, we can use this process to create new future mind maps and store it as a regular memory in our subconscious. Thus changing old negative thought patterns.
By learning how to do this we can feel and be, how we want to feel and be.
Hi, I'm Irena-Marie
Fifteen years ago my husband, Rod and I decided we had enough of living a mediocre life. So we moved our business as consultants in media relations to south west France. Everything was more or less great - except I still had this nagging fear of success. Yes success! We moved to France to improve our lives, but I was still not brave enough to totally break free and create work that truly inspired me.
Then, the banking crisis in 2007 destroyed our business overnight. We found ourselves unemployed in France, with a huge mortgage and a house that, at the time, was impossible to sell. The banks were constantly on our backs and I used to wake up in the middle of the night, terrified and often crying.
It was time to retrain... feel the fear, and do it anyway!
