Frequently Asked Questions
If you’re considering therapy, coaching or workplace wellbeing support, it’s natural to have questions.
Below are answers to the questions I’m most often asked.
If something isn’t covered here, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
About Therapy & Coaching
How do I know if therapy or coaching is right for me?
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from support.
People contact me for many reasons, including anxiety, burnout, trauma, emotional overwhelm, confidence issues, pain or performance challenges. Others simply feel “not quite themselves” and want clarity or change.
A free discovery call allows us to explore what’s going on and whether my approach feels right for you.
What is the difference between therapy and coaching?
Therapy focuses on emotional healing and mental health. Coaching focuses on goals, performance and direction.
In practice, these often overlap. My work integrates both, addressing the emotional and neurological patterns that hold people back, while also supporting forward movement and change.
Coaching is often more longer term, while therapy is generally four to eight sessions.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies depending on the individual, the issue and your goals. Some people notice significant change in just a few sessions. Others benefit from ongoing support over a longer period.
A phobia for example may be two to four sessions, anxiety however can be four to eight as there are many more triggers. This is something we discuss openly and review together.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Everything discussed is confidential and handled professionally and ethically. In the rare situations where confidentiality must be broken (for example, immediate risk of harm), this would always be explained clearly.
Will I have to talk in detail about traumatic experiences?
No. My approach is trauma-informed and respectful of boundaries. While some talking is helpful, it is not necessary to relive or describe traumatic events in detail for effective change to occur.
We always work at a pace that feels safe for you.
Do you give advice or tell me what to do?
No. My role is not to tell you what to think or do, but to help you understand your patterns, regulate emotional responses and develop tools that allow you to make your own informed choices.
We always have the answers inside and I provide a safe, non judgemental space in which to explore.
The aim is empowerment, not dependency.
Online & Practical Questions
Do you offer online therapy?
Yes. Around 70% of my clients work with me online.
Online sessions are just as effective as in-person work and are often more convenient, particularly for international clients or busy professionals.
What platforms do you use for online sessions?
I offer sessions via:
-
Zoom
-
Google Meet
-

WhatsApp (by arrangement)
We’ll choose the option that works best for you.
Do you work with English-speaking clients in Europe?
Yes. I also work with clients locally in France - and with international clients based in countries such as South Africa, USA, Australia etc. Many of my clients are expats or internationally mobile professionals.
Where are you based?
My practice is based in Lisle-sur-Tarn, France. 40 minutes from Toulouse. In-person sessions take place by arrangement, and online sessions are available internationally.
Children, Families & Special Situations
Do you work with children and teenagers?
Yes. I work with children and young people experiencing anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, confidence issues and stress related to school or social situations.
Work with children is always handled carefully and appropriately, with parental involvement as needed.
Approximately 45% of my work is with young people.
Do you work with people with neurodivergence?
Yes. I support neurodivergent children and adults, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, PDA...using approaches that are respectful, flexible and individualised.
Do you work with couples and families?
Yes. I offer support for couples and families where emotional patterns, communication or stress are affecting relationships.
Workplace Wellbeing & Speaking
Do you work with organisations and businesses?
Yes. I work with organisations on mental fitness, emotional resilience, leadership under pressure and burnout prevention.
This includes workshops, leadership programmes, speaking engagements and bespoke wellbeing initiatives.
Are workplace programmes confidential?
Yes. Individual confidentiality is always respected within organisational work, and boundaries are clearly agreed in advance.
Can sessions or talks be delivered internationally?
Yes. I work with international organisations and teams, both online and in person.
Results & Expectations
Can you guarantee results?
No ethical practitioner can guarantee results. Outcomes depend on many factors, including the individual, the context and the work undertaken. What I can guarantee is a professional, compassionate and evidence-informed approach tailored to you.
What do clients typically notice after working with me?
-
Feeling calmer and more emotionally regulated
-
Huge relief and change in an issue that has challenged and/or controlled them for many years
-

Improved confidence and decision-making
